Representatives of 澳门六合彩官方网站 and the Polk County Board of Supervisors presented a check to the City of Des Moines for $6,699,823.11 as part of a long-standing profit sharing agreement between the three entities. Polk County and 澳门六合彩官方网站 officials also visited central Iowa schools to present them with their 2019 contribution checks. In total, the central Iowa schools received more than $1.1 million from Polk County and 澳门六合彩官方网站 combined this year.
Polk County Board of Supervisors Chair Tom Hockensmith said, “We are in a unique position with a nonprofit casino like 澳门六合彩官方网站 in our county that is dedicated to giving back to our community. We recognize that the City of Des Moines and our schools are important partners in the growth of our community and we are happy to support their work through this profit-sharing agreement.”
An average of $15.34 per student is donated to schools with Polk County students enrolled, totaling nearly $12.9 million going back to central Iowa schools since the program began in 2007.
